Instructions:

  • Which Module to complete?
    The Non clinical Module is to be completed by staff are those who are not direct care providers and volunteers. Generally this applies to those with a OSHA bloodborne pathogen (BBP) code of 3. Some employees with a BBP code of 1 who have no direct patient contact (e.g. laboratory and environmental services) should complete this module.

    The Clinical Module is to be completed by staff employees, faculty, and agency staff, with direct patient contact e.g. MDs, DOs, NPs, PAs, PTs, OTs, RNs, PCAs, Unit ASAs, etc. Generally those with an OSHA bloodborne pathogen code of 1 will need to complete this module.

  • Both Clinical and Non-Clinical versions include Bloodborne Pathogen and Latex Allergy.
  • The correct version must be completed for credit for 2008 Annual Mandatory Education to be awarded. If you are unsure of which module you need to complete check with your supervisor.
  • Check with your direct supervisor for the date by which you are required to complete this education.
  • Study the appropriate version for your job title by selecting the link at the left. The content is in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format.
  • You may resize this window to fit your computer's screen as needed, and the content may be printed.
  • To complete the online-post test select the "Post-Test" link beneath the appropriate module (clinical or non-clinical).(If you have pop-up blocking software installed, such as the Google Browser Toolbar, you must allow pop-ups for this site in order to load the exam).
  • Log on to the Exam System by entering your Novell (network) log on and password or by selecting the option to "Register if you don't have a Novell log on" (keep in mind that you will need an email address to register, but this does NOT have to be an AMC groupwise email address and that you MUST enter your name as it appears on your paycheck). If you registered with the exam system in 2006 or 2007, you must use the same email address and password from 2006 or 2007 to successfuly log in to the 2008 module.   • Complete the Post-test. You must answer all questions.
  • Follow the directions to print a completion certificate.
